IPCP letter to the Swedish Minister for the Environment successful!

Some encouraging news! Recently, 110 scientists, including myself, from 12 Swedish universities supported a letter sent to the Swedish Minister for the Environment, Annika Strandhäll, regarding the establishment of an International Science-Policy Panel to support action on chemicals, waste, and pollution. A draft resolution on this topic is to be presented at the meeting of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA5.2) on 28 February to 2 March 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya. This letter was successful and has resulted in the Swedish government supporting the resolution to form an International Science-Policy Panel. You can read more about the IPCP here, and in their recent call-to-action Science paper here.
